Don’t look for us the last weekend of May. We will be heading to the Lake of the Ozarks for the 7th annual Lake Race. (Link: http://www.lakerace.com/home.html)
The event was created to boost tourism at the Lake of the Ozarks during a slower period. The Lake Race developed as a result of the overwhelming support for powerboat racing at the Lake of the Ozarks.
While we have attended in the past, this is our first year sponsoring the event. We couldn’t be more excited about supporting this massive event. If you’re planning on going, be sure to check out the Jimmy John’s boat we wrapped by the awards stage and come say ‘hey.’
Lakeside Best
As the largest land-made lake in the United States, the Lake of the Ozarks is the perfect body of water to host an event that attracts guests from around the world.
Lake Race is similar to offshore races with a NASCAR feel. Lake Race brings people to Missouri that otherwise may have only seen us as a flyover state. We are looking forward to putting faces to names and building connections to the greater racing community.
While this event is a great space for industry to connect, it is equally beloved by its spectators. Toad Cove is the place to hang out for the event.
Spectators are able to idle and watch the event from the water. Come early, though! Water spaces are the first to go.
An atmosphere of off the hook fun that goes into the night, the evening before the race is full of activity. Starting at 5 p.m., the Festival of Speed on Land and Sea is at Race Village and Toad Cove. Entertainment goes until 11 p.m.
Start the countdown. Race day is set for Saturday, June 1st!
